Mini Review:
↬You begin this show by thinking
it’s a psychological thriller, but its not limited to being a psychological thriller,
it has created a genre beyond that.
↬Mouse is a semi-dystopian world
where in some characters are in search of creating a utopian world. It is
brutal, scary, suspenseful and full of twists.
↬But there comes a point where the
plot twists get so random and difficult to follow, it almost became a “Makjang”
Drama. The show could have been cut short to 16 episodes, by avoiding creating
unnecessary twists.
↬For me the older generation women
made much more character impact than the younger generation women.
[Spoiler Alert]
How could Bong Yi become a writer
in one day? She had no prior experience, but she is suddenly an expert writer
and carrying out investigations of her own? It would have been still better if
she started as an intern or assistant for a writer on the show
[END]
↬The first half of the show is
vastly led by Ko Moo Chi (Lee Hee Joon), but the second half is where Lee Seung
Gi shines at his best. As I mostly follow Lee Seung Gi in variety shows, I have
become a newfound fan of him in acting.
↬As for the ending of the show, it
was one of the best series finale I have seen in a while.
Ending Notes:
🔺The thriller contains much brutal
violence, be prepared.
🔺The police of the department seemed
clueless most of the time, and following on the clues or words that appeared
randomly/coincidently.
🔺Shout out to the actor Kwon Hwa
Woon (Sung Yo Han), great work!
🔺Must watch for watching various
shades of Lee Seung Gi’s acting.
