Mini Review:
The 1st
of my Japanese drama and I loved it! While taking a break and waiting for some
of the Kdramas, that had been on my watch list from the time announced, I
randomly started watching the series as the poster caught my attention.
If you
are familiar with Japanese animes or mangas, you would we well aware of typical
Japanese tsundere male leads and fluffy positive females as is common in any
shoujo theme (I have watched animes almost all my childhood to teenage years).
This
drama was also no exception in that case. But the characters were well written
and portrayed so immediately you get attracted to their lives and stories and
by the end of the 1st episode, instead of finding them rude or silly,
you start rooting for their love story to pick up! (I also started rooting for
the female lead wholeheartedly!)
The
female lead is similar in age to the character she played in the drama, that
helped a lot to identify with her youthful, happy, personality, her 1st
time working as a nurse and getting scared sometimes also learning to do her
best while in the job makes her image familiar. And while rooting for her crush
to like her back you also keep seeing her growth and confidence as a nurse side
by side, making us viewers cheer for her job too. Great work done in creating a
wholesome character.
And for
the male lead, from his 1st appearance he immediately made an
impact. He may have been portrayed as a tsundere character, but for most of the
time he was being a professional in his job. Initially instead of accepting her
as a romantic interest (which is really acceptable) he saw her as a trainee who
needed to be quick in learning her job perfectly to be of help to the patients
and the department. And while mentoring her and watching her develop as a good
nurse he came around liking her personality and finally liking her. In the
short 10 episodes this was very well covered.
Also the
cardiology department the show is set in is the sweetest team ever. Very
capable, responsible, and friendly and sometimes gossipy and funny teammates.
Without them the show would not have been half as entertaining.
Also
initially a lot of content was focused on their profession as a Doctor and
Nurse, but towards the end of the drama, it mostly changed into family and
romantic scenes theme, which was a bit disappointing. I really enjoyed their
working personality and modes.
Ending Notes:
A light
rom-com drama, with lots of loving characters and sweet, fully moments. Perfect
for J-drama beginners like me, or anyone who want a light drama to cheer them
up.
A sweet
love story to fangirl on.
Also
become a fan of Takeru Satoh and binge watch all his Rurouni Kenshin movies
like me (They are wonderful movies, the best, do watch!)
A 10 episodes
short drama with a nice story, perfect for binge watching any day! Catch up
Soon!
Final Rating: 4/5
