City Hunter – My First Look Into K-dramas

The story starts a long way back even before I got to know about Korean Dramas or even before the Drama City Hunter aired also. It starts at 2004, when on a family trip we came across local Nepali Songs while traveling and liked the songs so much we ended up buying the CD with our Tour Guide’s help.

Tumbling into quite a few years ahead in 2015 a discussion with my sister got us on a YouTube hunt to find those Nepali songs and among them one Nepali Song (which was only present as a trailer in our CD previously) was used as a BGM in a fan made video. The video was none other than clippings of City Hunter.

Immediately we took such a liking to the video clippings we went on a massive hunt to find the show, our only clue was that it was a Korean Drama. Both of us were not that tech savvy at that time and on searching Korean show a huge drop down list greeted us.

Finally we found the show by going through google image search with the keyword “Korean Drama Bus Scene” and behold City Hunter was waiting to be watched.

At that time even if online English Subbed sites were available we had no idea of it, and watched through YouTube uploaded videos, some were very poor qualities some with distorted audios but nevertheless we absolutely loved it!

The sleek and cool Lee Min Ho, Park Min Young’s acting, the OSTs, the action, and the drama everything was new to use and we kept re-watching the show.

That song, that FMV, that Drama is everything that brought us to the Korean Drama world we love now.

Reviving Our House And Heart

With House Detox

Being a fan of organizing in general and having an interest in interior decorating I started watching The House Detox quite a while back, it’s a show about helping with celebrity house organization. It had a nice and familiar set of hosts/MCs, tips about organizing and getting a wide view on quite a lot of Celebrity Houses.

These had been my initial reasons for wanting to watch the show, but soon I realized that how with each episode I got even more emotionally attached to each and every guest and the home they had dreamed of.

Introducing the Team:

The delightful MCs team of Shin Ae Ra the minimalist, Park Na Rae the maximalist, and Yoon Kyun Sang the trainee/intern.

And the whole of House Detox team responsible for creating this wonderful experience in each episode.

Reasons To Give This Show A Try:

If you have a bit of interest with Home Planning or Interior Decorating, you should definitely check this out if not already watching.

↦The playful chemistry between the hosts, Park Na Rae insisting on keeping all things pretty and sparkly while Shin Ae Ra wants to keep the required and treasured items. In between them Yoon Kyun Sang juggling to keep the hosts and the guests happy.

↦Also some very easy and simple organizing tips anyone can follow for better home environment (Like keeping things of similar needs together for easier accessibility, cups and glasses near the water purifier/source).

What I Love About House Detox:

↝While everyone of us have an image or wish of a home in our minds, in reality a lot of it can get altered while giving place for then important things, this show showed me that both can be done side by side.

↝Maybe that’s why when the celebrity guests/clients found how simple rearranging can create the space they had dreamed of they cried their hearts out while I got emotional along with them.

↝Along with that it showed how re-utilizing things correctly can create even more space, quick and simple organizing tips and most importantly anyone can follow along and self customize for a quick home makeover.

↝Some may require emptying out a bit space, some may require a bit of an organizing or sometimes even changing our furniture setting can create a space comprising everything that makes a dream home for us.

Lets revive our house and hearts with House Detox! 💛💛

In case you want a recommendation, I would suggest watching Episode 4 (Guest: Jung Joo Ri) and Episode 7 (Guest: Yoon Eun Hye) which are my personal favorites.
