Women Of The Hour

Having just ended Sell Your Haunted House, which is my top drama in the 1^st of 2021, I couldn’t help but admit the wonderful and different characterization of Women in the series. 

Redefining “Goals” are these Women of the Hour.

Hong Ji A

Starting with our protagonist, Hong Ji A has created a legacy of her own. From being the professional boss (Who doesn’t forget to ask the client if they have killed someone?), the all-capable Exorcist (whatever situation she encounters, she fights through it), the food lover (the spread looked delicious every time), to the no backing down ever Charisma.

Thugs are scared of her, In Beom and Ji Cheol respects (worships) her, the ultimate protector of the area.

Joo Hwa Jung

The next in line is secretary of Daebak Real Estate. Handling clients expertly, getting information from various sources, tough when required, smooth where necessary, she has it all. Though she had her reasons for keeping secrets, but she is the sole reason Ji A grew up to be the wonderful person she became. The ultimate treasure and ultimate friend and family.

Hong Mi Jin

Ji A’s mother is another woman who made such a valuable impact. Most of her nature and character is explained through back stories, which showed her seriousness in regards to being an exorcist (however tough the decision, she made it to save hundreds to other lives) and her love for her daughter (let’s not forget the wow moment when she came to save her daughter). Also some hilarity ensured by her constant reminder (by throwing out) regarding Ji A black clothes and shoes.

Changhwa Restaurant owner

Next up is our next-door restaurant owner. Not only she was responsible for the huge amount of delicious food, she also helped in acting as a spy by keeping watch on In Beom and Ji Cheol. A kind and strong hearted woman, who went through a lot but still found a positive side of life to move on.

Blue Salt owner

Everyone’s a boss until the real boss show’s up. Her name is I guess not mentioned in the show, I cheered instantly she showed up! A brief cameo, from which it became clear, she is the one crafting the Exorcism supply for the Hong family. Though she only presented a pep talk to Ji A, I still loved every second of it.

Other than these women a lot of clients and spirits all showed a dynamic and realistic performance. Would be looking forward to more such dramas with different shades of Women.

Mysterious Love

Plot:

Quirky and adorable theater actress Ruan Nian Chu meets Li Teng, a cold and arrogant guy who possess both high EQ and IQ. Li Teng saves Ruan Nian Chu from a dangerous situation. The two develop feelings for each other, but separated due to different life tracks. Five years later, the two reunite and their feelings for each other rekindled. Plot:

Ji Ah, a woman who has inherited exorcism abilities from her mother, is the owner of Daebak Realty, a company that specializes in selling haunted houses. Ji Ah looks perfect and is also brilliant, but her hot temper makes her fists fly before her words. One day, Ji Ah encounters a conman named In Beom who specializes in exorcism fraud. Late at night when Daebak Realty operates, In Beom visits Ji Ah to make an offer. He suggests that they team up to exclusively sell houses that are haunted by vengeful spirits and lingering ghosts. Mini Review:

↬Be ready before entering this drama, this is The Best Drama of 2021 till now.

↬If scary/haunted things are not your thing, don’t worry neither they are my go-to genre, but Daebak Realty is going to make you stay here from start to end.

↬A really well-made plot, with almost no loopholes, the same pace throughout the 16 episodes awesome characters what more can I want. It’s a whole scream and squeal and cry and cheer ride!

↬But the cherry on top of this is our “Sajangnim/exorcist” Ji Ah, her charisma, her personality, her work ethics everything made me fangirl her even more.

↬And let’s not forget the spooky scenes, they are the right amount of scary for non-horror fans like me and the action sequences gets better every time.

↬The whole Daebak Realty Team, of Hong Ji Ah, Joo Hwa Jung, Oh In Beom, Heo Ji Cheol and of course Hong Mi Jin, makes the perfect squad. Please make a sequel!

Plot:

Mini Review:

↬The story is as true as its name, different stories about different youths and how their lives changed in that one May.

↬Initially, the story is about to get to know the characters, what makes them who they were and what they are going through to create their future self.

↬And in the center of it is the Summer Love story of our main leads. While this had enough substance to become a wonderful story itself, the backdrop it is set against finally arrives.

↬Having watched other series/movies related to the history of that may, having gained more knowledge while coming across articles, still nothing is enough to prepare for when the event actually starts happening.

↬And for our leads, no words can be enough, be it their personality, their personal problems, their love for each other, every time they outdid themselves and chose to put their profession on front regardless of how scared they were.

↬Almost for 90% of the cast this was their 1^st show I was watching, and they made it so believable so real, that every emotion was even more heightened.

Ending Notes:

🔺A 12 episodes drama, perfectly captures and makes time stand still on that particular May.

🔺It’s an emotional roller-coaster, be warned.
